These are the couples that I feel should remain in a platonic relationship, because none of these couples have any chemistry to be a romantic pairing.

10. Banjo/Kazooie

Neither of these two showed any romantic interest in each other.


9. Luigi/Peach (Mario series)

I don't think Luigi's interested in Peach or vice-versa. Hell I'm not even sure if Mario and Peach are interested in each other for real.


8. Lance/Ilana (Sym-Bionic Titan)

Even the creator of the show stated there were to be no romantic moments between the two whatsoever.


7. Brandy/Mr. Whiskers (Brandy & Mr. Whiskers)

The end of the theme song speaks for itself.


6. Sarah/Jimmy (Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy)

Sure they hang out with each other a lot. But there were never any romantic hints between the two whatsoever. Besides, They're awfully too young to be falling in love, especially Jimmy.


5. Arnold/Helga (Hey Arnold)

Honestly, if Helga feels that she should continue to harass Arnold just to keep her feelings for him dormant, then I see absolutely no reason for her to have him as a boyfriend. How will she have Arnold as a boyfriend when she can't even learn to respect herself?

Whoever contemplated the idea to ship these two together was obviously high off of some type of plant.

It's pretty clear the writers went out of their way to make the relationship between these two platonic and to keep it that way.

1. Zuko/Katara (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Seriously, why do people ship Zuko with Katara? Where is the chemistry between the two? All I see is a brother-sister relationship with each other. I mean just compare their interactions with Katara's interactions with her biological brother. Neither one of these two have any interest in each other romantic-wise. What is it about this pairing that fans think make a romantic couple? I want an explanation. Because I just explained why these two aren't a couple.
